Data Loss Happens

Chuqi just posted An interesting piece on how his hard drive crashed. Luckily, he had backups, but nonetheless it didn't go quite as smoothly. as one would have expected.

That being said, I'm personally still one of the madmen who manually back up their stuff to CD. Now that I have a SVN repository and a web site which doesn't keep local copies, I'm wondering what solutions you people out there are using for your backups?

Anyone with multiple computers out there who has found a nice, automated solution that, ideally, is cheap enough for a student? Anybody want to tell me why even the most expensive solution will probably have a better cost-benefit ratio for me?
