ProFont is still alive!

I just found a web site where the best text font for programming is available for download:

ProFont started out as a modified version of the Mac's standard monospaced font Monaco, but has special emphasis on distinguishability of characters. E.g. punctuation is a little fatter, I and l are easily distinguished, the zero is slashed, that sort of thing. It also works beautifully at small sizes.
