I hang out quite a bit at MacRumors. Reference to that thread comes up now and then whenever a new one starts filling up with "It'll never work" comments. Some of the posts are pretty funny in there.

Of course it happened again when serious talk of a phone started brewing, and now with the iPad right around the corner.
